Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita is in a secluded spot, nestled alongside a tranquil lagoon in the very privileged Anahita domain on the east coast of Mauritius, about 25 minutes south of Belle Mare Plage and 1 hours’ drive from Mauritius airport.
The hotel is one of the top 3 resorts on the Island of Mauritius and when it opened in 2008 it set new standards of excellence in terms of the accommodation. The lead in room category is amazing – the Garden Pool Villa, all villas have a garden and a plunge infinity pool on the extensive sun terrace. The space you are provided even in the lead in category is superb. The resort is laid out on a lagoon, with many of the main amenities of the hotel sitting right over water, including the outstanding Italian restaurant – Acquapazza.
There are some nice touches at Four Seasons, including the fact you are provided with a bicycle on arrival if you prefer to move about the resort independently, this is because the Villas are so spread out with garden, mangrove, ocean and beach front locations.
The Spa at Four Seasons is a major highlight, as the treatment rooms and relaxation areas are right on the lagoon overlooking the water and the Mangrove Swamps, the outlook is just exhilarating.
Golfers at Four Seasons can enjoy daily golf on the Ernie Els designed golf course, which is one of the islands finest courses, you are entitled to complimentary green fees as well as access to the driving range and practice balls. There is a courtesy shuttle bus, which takes you down to the clubhouse – 3 minutes away. The buffet themed nights at Bambou are superb and can include lobster and many more fine delicacies. The beaches at Four Seasons are quiet and secluded and you can choose which one suits you best, with good water-sports, including waterskiing.
Directors Tip – The Acquapazza Italian, overlooking the lagoon takes some beating. We would also highly recommend the Indian Bliss massage at the Spa. Make sure you drive well off the tee, on the golf course and practice your long irons and hybrids, as this is a long, scenic and stunning challenge.
