The Terrazas have their own facilities separate from the hotel, including a sumptuous member’s lounge and reception area in the main building, with comfortable places to chill out, inside and on the main terrace overlooking the best view on the entire resort. Below this terrace is an excellent infinity swimming pool, with large sun bathing areas. There is also a fine new gymnasium, by November 2017, there will be a breakfast and evening restaurant also. Adjacent to the second tee, there is another sizeable pool and terraced sun bathing area, which is located by the Phase 2 apartments.

In walking distance to the Terrazas you also have the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy and the Golf Course and clubhouse, which has a fine terraced restaurant which is open till 530pm and the superb Kabuki Michelin star Asian restaurant. The Spa amenity is down at the hotel Ritz-Carlton, which is a 10-15-minute walk. As of early July 2017 there is a new courtesy shuttle which runs guests down to the main building of the Ritz-Carlton, Abama which is a significant change and great for Terrazas guests, as you have 5 more dining venues to choose from. The complex has 24-hour security and a security gate to enter 24/7.

The Ritz-Carlton, Abama has a wide array of top quality dining venues, which includes two Michelin Star restaurants, both being outstanding, plus a brilliant Tapas venue, there is also a Steakhouse and an Italian, not forgetting the wonderful Mirador fish restaurant, closer to the beach. If you love the beach and sea swimming, there is a perfect stretch of sand and lagoon style swimming in the ocean, with a proper beach club amenity.

These luxury apartments are alongside the left side of the first hole on the Abama course and alongside the second and sixth holes also. The main reception and lounge areas are very close to the first tee of the Abama course. Choose between one, two, three and four bedroom apartments, all of which have sizeable terraces, with gorgeous views of the golf course, ocean and La Gomera Island. All apartments have fully equipped kitchens and utility rooms, with washing machines, dish-washers, all utensils for eating and cooking, with oven and micro-wave.

A super-market menu system is available also for food and drink to be dropped off at your apartment via reception. The apartments have a bathroom for each bedroom and the two bedroom units are ideal not just for families, but also for two couples.

All apartments have very comfortable lounge areas with settees and armchairs, in addition to the generous terraces outside. We recommend the phase one two and three bedroom apartments for the best views! The one bedroom units are in phase 2.

Abama golf is at its best again in the 2017-18 season – there have been some marked improvements to the course and its conditioning since 2016. The first few holes climb the mountain towards Mount Teide and it is not until you reach hole 6 that you start to get the ocean views plunging back down the mountain, towards the Hotel’s main Citadel. There is not a golf course in Europe more exhilarating than Abama – so many golf holes with big elevation changes and most of which are downhill, rather than uphill. The main obstacles are some big water hazards, old lava barrancas, banana trees and palms which flank fairways and quite tricky greens, some of which are very treacherous and fast. The beauty of playing Abama is that buggies are always included.
