Welcome to Our Top 14 Golf Courses in Turkey

There are now 14 great golf courses in and around the Belek region, most of which are laid out through impressive large umbrella pines, amongst natural sand hills, close to the ocean, but mostly not offering sea views, with the exception of the Links nine at the Titanic Golf Club and the marvellous Perry Dye designed Lykia Links. Lykia is as true a links as any golf course in Europe. Belek is just 45 minutes east from the city and airport of Antalya and the 13 courses in Belek itself are no more than 10-15 minutes from each other, so incredibly convenient for transport with our brilliant local ground handlers Matrix Travel, who lead the way in quality service and luxurious mini-vans, with first class Covid-19 protocols for all your transfers.

It is always difficult to grade golf courses and what must be said is that this is always going to be controversial, but it is an excellent talking point. What I must say is that every single golf course is first class, it is just that some are more memorable, testing and impressive than others. Even our no 14 rated course is a great test of golf and maintained to the very high standards to be enjoyed all year round.

The golfing season in Belek really runs from September to May, we would generally avoid July, August and the second half of June. The weather can be very reasonable indeed even in February or over New Year, the high season months are November, March, April and May in normal years!

NO 14: Kaya Palazzo Golf Club

Kaya Palazzo, formerly known as Kaya Eagles, is a wonderful 18 hole design, carved through umbrella pine trees, eucalyptus trees and also offering the visitor a number of stadium holes with very challenging water features. The course is probably the easiest course to score to your handicap, because the fairways are wider and the rough is less penal, however this is a very good design and always well worth playing. For the best deals and tee times we recommend playing at the Kaya Palazzo Resort adjacent, which is not so well known but a fine addition to golf resort hotels in Belek.

NO 13: Pasha Golf Club

Pasha is one of the two golf courses at Antalya Golf Club and although often overshadowed by the superb sister course, PGA Sultan, Pasha is a delight to play. The course is considerably shorter and easier than PGA Sultan, but equally scenic and well maintained, just less demanding. The design is laid out through umbrella pines, eucalyptus trees and has a decent number of testing water features. The front nine are probably more testing than the front nine. The greens do have difficult run offs and the greens are smaller making the approach shots and short game shots very challenging. Pasha is no push-over and the perfect partner to the PGA Sultan sharing the same clubhouse. For the best tee times and packages playing Pasha and PGA Sultan, stay at the well-priced Sirene Belek Hotel, which offers excellent deals for groups of 8+

NO 12: Titanic Golf Club

Formerly known as TAT Golf, this is now a much improved 27-hole layout originally designed by Martin Hawtree. The course has many super holes with dog legs through pine trees, a decent scattering of water features and well protected greens. The main 18 are parkland style and the third nine is the links nine, with more open holes and closer proximity to the Ocean, one of the few courses in Belek close to the sea. For the best tee times and packages we highly recommend the very impressive Titanic De Luxe Hotel.

NO 11: Robinson Club, Nobilis

This wonderful Dave Thomas design is located opposite the entrance to Gloria Golf Resort, one of the oldest 4 courses in Belek, the 18 holes are laid out through beautiful gently undulating land and most holes are laid out through relatively wide avenues of umbrella pines trees. The course does not need much water, but the ninth hole has an excellent water feature close to the green. An ideal course to add to your golfing itinerary especially if you stay at one of the Gloria Resorts, very adjacent.

NO 10: Lykia Links

Located 20 kms east of Belek this is the only long transfer. Designed by Perry Dye, this is as good a pure links as any in Continental Europe. The course threads its way through wonderful sand dunes, with dramatic ocean views, with holes right down by the sea and on higher land with equally impressive vista. Superb pot bunkers with railway sleepers, big links greens, with natural run-offs and tough tee shots into often strong sea breezes. The last 6 holes are a superb finale to a cracking links design, a great 18th par is a dramatic climax. We recommend playing the course once in your stay in Belek, but we do not recommend staying on the Lykia resort.

NO 9: Gloria Old

Gloria Old Course is one of the oldest 2 golf courses in Belek, a classic treelined course carved through avenues of umbrella pines, fairly flat terrain, very tight fairways, where placement is crucial. The course has some great dog legs, some superb water holes, none better than the approach shots over water on the first and second holes. This is a classic test of golf and very well-manicured. You are best advised to stay at Gloria Golf, or the Gloria Serenity hotels to access the best tee times and golf packages with 1 in 8 free applicable.

The Gloria Clubhouse has launched a new all-inclusive concept for residents only from 1 November 2020.

NO 8: Sueno Dunes

Sueno Dunes is more undulating than the Pines Course, it has more movement on the fairways like a pure links, subtle borrows and undulations, more pot bunkers and take all that, with more elevation changes and elevated tees, more acute dog legs and driving holes, make it harder, however, it is shorter than the Pines course.

The entire course is carved through majestic pine trees and the finishing holes on both nines are spectacular requiring brave approach shots over water features in the amphitheatre of the clubhouse and in front of the hotel terraces! Sueno Golf is best played staying at one of the Sueno properties, especially the Sueno Belek De Luxe Resort, with its incredible beach location. Great offers and packages for parties of 8+.

NO 7: Gloria New

This is in our view the best of the 45 holes available at Gloria Resort.  The fairways are wider and more generous on the New Course, there are some wonderful holes with great water features and some superb par 5s worth highlighting. Compared to the Old Course, the Gloria New has a lot of strategically placed sand traps on the fairways, which makes it more interesting and there is more fairway movement and more undulations and run offs from the greens. Most holes thread their way through avenues of umbrella pine trees. For the best deals on the Gloria courses, stay at Gloria Serenity and Gloria Golf Resorts.

It is worth noting that Gloria also has a fine nine-hole course, Gloria Verde and there is a hotel with this same branding, which is less expensive than Serenity and Gloria Golf. Great packages are available for parties of 8 or more. The Gloria Clubhouse has launched a new all-inclusive concept for residents only from 1 November 2020.

NO 6: Sueno Pines

This is one of the newer golf courses in Belek, yet it is about 15 years old already. The course is majestic, laid out through deep umbrella pine trees, relatively undulating with narrow tee shots and many dog legs, although not as tight as the sister course – the Dunes. The Pines has some superb water holes and it really is a joy to play. Sueno Pines, like the Dunes has incredibly challenging water holes to finish on 9 and 18, in front of the Sueno Golf Hotel, creating a great amphitheatre finale. For the very best deals stay at the Sueno Deluxe Beach Hotel, there are even great deals available including buggies. If you are a complete golf nut, but don’t care about staying beach side, you can stay at the Sueno Golf Hotel. Superb offers available for parties of 8+

NO 5: Cornelia Faldo Golf Club

This Signature Course designed by Sir Nick Faldo is the toughest challenge of all amongst Belek courses and has 3 great nines to choose from, so if you are staying at one of the Cornelia Hotels and playing 4 rounds, or more there is the opportunity to play 3 different combinations. What makes the course challenging is that there are so many acute dog legs, not just on par 4 holes, but the par 5 holes as well, tight drives where you have to hit one side of the fairway to have a chance to get on the green with a long, or short approach. At least two of the par 5s are double dog legs, which get increasingly tight along the length of hole. The par threes at Faldo are very good and there are a couple of short par 4 risk and reward holes which are excellent, but laced with trouble. To qualify for the best deals, stay at the spectacular Cornelia Diamond Resort, or the Cornelia De Luxe. There are great offers for groups of 8+ especially.

NO 4: Carya Golf Club

Carya has also been the venue for the European Tour and the Turkish Open, the course is carved through mature umbrella pines with sand hills, there are some superb water holes like 9 and 10 which are particularly tricky tests with water running down the left and in front of the greens. The back nine are memorable and the last 5 holes are incredibly exciting ones to play as the course builds to a great climax. The course has some nice elevated tees, gentle, but not severe dog legs and there are some superb par 3s. If you stay at the impressive Regnum Carya Hotel you can qualify for great packages on Carya and National and enjoy all inclusive food & beverages in the Clubhouse at Carya. A memorable and must play venue.

NO 3: National Golf Club

National is the oldest course in Antalya and a magnificent test of golf, the land on which it was built is the most beautiful of all in Belek, more natural hills, lakes and wider array of trees and shrubs, lots of beautiful off fairway areas, with a rich array of flowering shrubs to enhance the look and feel of the layout. The course is probably the hardest design of all, it is tight and long, and the trees are denser if you go offline, the par 3 s are particularly memorable. All in all, a must play course and the most mature design in Belek. There is a third nine at National, which is 15 years younger and not quite as amazing. The Clubhouse is traditional and elegant. Residents of the Regnum Resort can enjoy great value golf packages here and the all-inclusive food & beverage concept before, or after play.

NO 2: The PGA Sultan

This course has hosted the World Golf Championship won by Justin Rose, which featured Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy in a unique format of medal play match play. There is no question that the back nine excel with lots of water hazards coming into play, it gets more and more difficult as you approach the final few holes, dramatic and brave shot making required here especially near the climax of the round. The course is threaded through umbrella pines, eucalyptus tree and has some stadium style holes too, a very clever and unique design and different to all the other courses. The Antalya Golf Clubhouse is cool and stylish, a perfect place to reflect on your round. For your best deals stay at the Sirene Belek Hotel. Great discounts for groups of 8+ staying in the Sirene.

NO 1: The Montgomerie

This superb design has hosted the Turkish Open on a number of occasions and is laid out over large sand hills with the most magnificent umbrella pine trees, lots of dog legs, but generous fairways and large, fast greens protected well by bunkers. Not a huge amount of water, but the 9th hole is one with a large strategic lake in front of the green and on the right for your tee shot. Montgomerie has a wonderful finishing hole and a superb back nine. The Clubhouse is also arguably the best of all, and you can enjoy complimentary food & beverage as a visitor inside the bar and restaurant. For the best deals and tee times stay at the Voyage Belek modestly priced, or the incredibly lavish Maxx Royal Hotel.
