St Kitts and Nevis are a dual-island country, situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The Island of Nevis is known for cloud-shrouded mountains and beaches. Many of its former sugar plantations are now inns or atmospheric ruins.
The larger of the two islands, St Kitts, is dominated by the dormant Mount Liamuiga volcano, home to a crater lake, look out for green velvet monkeys and rainforest criss-crossed with hiking and bike trails.
Nevis is the ultimate chill out venue, where the way of life is very laid back indeed. The beaches are sublime and the resort at Four Seasons Nevis is special, with wonderful mountain backdrops also.
