Golf Holidays To Cyprus
Cyprus is a wonderful island in the middle of the Mediterranean, with long links to the United Kingdom, indeed there has been a military RAF base there at Akrotiri, for over 50 years. The island is located about half way between Turkey and the Lebanon, enjoying great year-round climate, ideal for golf.
The island is still split into two – the Turkish occupied northern region, north of Nicosia highlighted by the lovely seaside town of Kyrenia and the more well-known Greek Cypriot region. This is far bigger and more tourist oriented, highlighted by the seaside resort of Paphos, which is the heart of the up-market tourist region. Our featured resort of Aphrodite Hills, in the south west of the island, is just east of the resort of Paphos, located on high land, with splendid views across the resort and the coastline below. This is the heart of the most historic region, with lots of ancient remains and is dedicated to the Goddess Aphrodite all to be found close to our selected resort.
The island of Cyprus has a mountainous interior highlighted by the spectacular Troodos Mountains, which is well worth a half day visiting from Aphrodite Hills!
The Aphrodite Golf Course is undergoing a substantial renovation and reopens on 4 February 2018 – it will be back to its very best with this new redesign. There are also 3 other golf courses within 15 minute’s drive of Aphrodite Hills.
