Highlights Of The Jardin Tecina Resort
The Jardin Tecina has many highlights, but first and foremost one has to mention just how good the staff are in resort, this is a 4-star hotel with great prices and a 5 star and friendly service throughout. You can enjoy a wide array of cuisine in the excellent buffet restaurant, which changes themes every evening and if you are able to sit on the terrace the views are outstanding. If you prefer the more intimate a la carte service, there are 3 great venues to choose from, all in very different locations, Fandango, Barbeque, Gara and the Club Laurel. The views from Gara, which has a fantastic large sun terrace and Club Laurel, which is down the cliff on a beach location, next to the Beach Club are splendid. You can enjoy the gastronomic menus at all the a la carte dining venues for less than 10 euros, super value and great variety. If you want to eat a la carte every night you can, if you prefer not to take the special menu, you would receive a 25% discount off the a la carte menus.
Evening Entertainment
The entertainment in the hotel is unsurpassed, the hotel have an in house Danish pianist who plays in the main bar for 3 hours most evenings and sets the tone for the ambience, whilst the Fandango have an excellent classical Flamenco guitarist also superb. In the second bar there is nightly entertainment, which is first class and different every night from 9pm to midnight.
The resort has an exceptional Donald Steel golf course, which is unique in that the first tee is not by the clubhouse, which is at the bottom of the hillside, instead when you check in you either self drive your buggy, or get transferred by buggy to the top of the course, where you start at the first tee. The entire course winds its way gently down the mountainside to the 18th green, so it is accordingly very easy to walk. Every hole has exceptional sea views and there are some wonderful par 3s! The course is a joy the play and as exhilarating as any in the Canaries, with some similarities to Buenavista.
Special mention finally of the island of La Gomera and its unique attractions, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has extraordinary scenery, towering mountains, with massive canyons and valleys throughout. It is a Mecca for ramblers and there are countless mountain foot paths called Caminos, which criss-cross the entire island. You can join such paths from the Jardin Tecina and take some amazing walks up and down the neighbouring mountains and hillsides, always with sea views.
Alternatively, you can take an excursion with a guide and drive up to start your walk into the National Park in the north and learn more about the unique flowers and fauna of a beautiful island, taking in as part of the tour the Rain Forest which is stunning. We would highly recommend a day out to enjoy the island to enhance your overall experience.
There is no doubt that Jardin Tecina Resort is in a special location boasting the best climate on the island, very sheltered as it is south facing. The cliff top scenery is special and you can also walk down via a special lift through the rock face, down to the sea level and stroll across to Playa De Santiago town in 10 minutes, which has a few bars and restaurants and a lava sand beach, where you can swim in the sea. On the way to the town you can enjoy the restaurant, of the Beach Club Laurel, which reopens on 1 July 2018. All in all, a holiday at Jardin Tecina is multi-faceted and very rewarding, which is why it has such a high percentage of repeat customers.
We would highly recommend a two-centre holiday here with the Hotel Las Madrigueras in Tenerife, which is just 5 minutes away from the ferry harbour at Los Cristianos, an exceptional twin centre holiday with entirely contrasting locations and ambiences.
We would recommend 3-7 nights at Las Madrigueras to break up your trip and stay here on arriving in Tenerife South, or on the way back and stay a minimum of 7 nights at Jardin Tecina.
