The Elba Palace is situated on the Fuerteventura golf course, just 20 minute’s transfer from the airport, on the east coast of the island, not far from the seaside resort of Caleta de Fuste, which is just 5 minutes’ drive away, if you fancy an evening, or day out away from the golf hotel complex.

The hotel is a very popular golfer’s hotel, adult only, boutique style with large and impressive bedrooms and now offering some fitness and health options, in addition to the golf! The courtyard is lovely and for long periods of the year one can enjoy dinner, lunch or breakfast outside and it is a sheltered environment.  The hotel has one main restaurant and because half board is a mandatory option all your evening meals are included, the starter and dessert options are buffet and one chooses off the a la carte menu for the main course.

The pro-shop and clubhouse are inside the hotel and one can access the course, the driving range etc, with a short walk from the lobby. A great place to have lunch is the golf club terrace inside, or outside. The hotel is designed with beautiful Canarian colour schemes and is very well appointed in all aspects, with eye catching architecture.

We highly recommend taking the 7 night golfer’s package, which could be unlimited, or including 1 or 2 rounds on a second course – Salinas, which is 10 minute’s taxi ride away.

Winter Offer

3 January – 31 March 2020  – 7 nights from £999 per person

Price Includes

Deluxe double, dinner, bed & breakfast, private transfers, unlimited golf Fuerteventura, trolley hire and range balls daily, golf transfers.

The Elba Palace comes alive from May to October, with its wellness programme, when you can enjoy more than just the golf, with special fitness training and wellness sessions including Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates etc, personal fitness trainers are on hand. During the main golfing season, from November to April you have great golf packages. The hotel has a main restaurant, golf club restaurant, outdoor pool, solarium, Jacuzzi, spa, impressive gym, golf course, driving range, salon bar, library, courtyard, pro shop, paddle tennis, sports arena, golf club bar.

The standard deluxe double rooms are very well appointed and spacious, but they do not have terrace or balconies. You receive free WIFI, dressing gown & slippers, LED TV, tea and coffee making facilities & mini-bar. We would highly recommend paying a little extra for deluxe golf view rooms, which will give you an outside terrace, or balcony and panoramic views of the golf course. The prestige rooms give you breakfast in your room, unlimited access to the Thalasso Spa at the Sheraton, free WIFI, daily restocked free mini-bar including beer, tea & coffee maker, personal trainer in the gym and late check out if available. You can also choose suite rooms, with separate lounge and lovely golf views, much more space.

The hotel is boutique style, with 61 bedrooms.

There are two golf course included in the golf & spa programme 7-night package. Fuerteventura Golf is next to the hotel and is a lovely palm tree flanked style course, which epitomises good fun holiday golf. The course is flat for the first nine holes and gets hillier on the back nine, well-manicured and offers some elevated tees later in the round. There is enough water features to keep you focused and there are in fact three separate lakes, which come into play on the front nine. You face the ocean at the start of the round through to hole 10, which changes direction. An exhilarating course and very playable, but if the wind blows it gets tough. Difficult to lose balls here. Special golfing clinics are bookable here, with the resident professional – ask for details.

Salinas the other course which is 10 minutes’ drive away, is closer to the ocean and has larger greens and deeper bunkers than Fuerteventura, it is a nice contrast to play, as it has a very different terrain and is more links style, with wider fairways.

Morning David

I can well imagine how difficult it must be for you during this situation.

We felt very safe & isolated from the world at the Elba Palace.  Initially we were disappointed with our rooms but after pointing out we had requested pool views the hotel moved us after a couple of days.

It is the second year we’ve been there & we were very well looked after by the friendly staff.  The food was an improvement on the previous year.  We never tire of the course even playing 7 times in 10 days.  The pool is also peaceful & relaxing when not golfing.

The only down side is the spa area.  We were very disappointed with it & a good steam room & sauna would be quite a benefit when playing a lot of golf.

Would we go again?  For my husband & I yes -  for us it is a good choice for guaranteed winter sun, challenging golf & good service without flying too far.

We were considering going to Mauritius next year but will wait for things to calm down a little before making any firm plans.

Thank you for the excellent support you have provided.

Kind regards

Julie Cruickshank

Thanks for the feedback Julie and glad we got you back before the lockdowns, the following week it started too get difficult

Hi David

Yes, we are pleased we returned home before the sandstorm!

The Elba Palace and the golf week hosted by Mickey and Chris were excellent.  Our hotel room 225 was just as we had hoped for.  The golf course at the Elba Palace was in good condition but the Salinas golf course was not so good.

The second part of our holiday worked out well.  The hotel Atlantis Bahia Real was very spacious and in a great location, staff very helpful and friendly, our room 240 was as requested looking out over the sea;  very comfortable.

I hope these comments are useful and thank you again for your help in putting together our holiday.

Best regards

Bob & Margaret

Thanks for the feedback Bob and Margaret, glad that you enjoyed both contrasting hotels and the weather was good

Hello David

A brilliant week from every point of view!    10/10 for flight, transfer, room, food, service, golf, weather.

The service offered by David and his company is second to none. From the start it was friendly, informative and professional. We stayed at the Elba Palace Golf and Vital Hotel. The hotel staff were excellent, the facilities very good with more provided that we were aware of, food also excellent as was the golf through out our stay. I shall be recommending Davids company and shall be booking again through Island Golf Holidays. It was the perfect holiday for us.

Thanks David.

Thank you for your excellent feedback Andy - i am delighted that you enjoyed your first visit to this little oasis in Fuerteventura, very handy as it is just 15 minutes away from the airport, located right on the Fuerteventura Golf Course, which is popular because it is so playable.

Hi David

Thanks for the follow up mail, we were intending to email you anyway to thank you. Everything went very well from start to finish. Extra legroom seats on the flights were a real bonus, airport transfers were on time and the hotel was much as we remembered it with good quality food and accommodation. The golf course was in excellent condition and not too busy at the times we played so we managed to get round quite quickly. Weather was great too so all in all we had an excellent holiday.  Back to reality now but we will be in touch soon to discuss our next trip

Steve and Karen

Thanks for your feedback Steve and Karen, Elba Palace continues to punch above its weight, a small golfer's hotel with an intimate ambience and what makes it great is the staff!

Hi David,

We had a very good 2 weeks. Weather was perfect and the hotel could have not have been more obliging. Flights were fine, on time etc

They had put us at the wrong side of the hotel but changed us over after 24 hours.

I would say that the Golf course has improved particularly the greens.

The returnees, we see on a regular basis does suggest the hotel is getting it right. Not the cheapest but worth the extra.

Am I due some wine for the Ellis introduction?

Thanks for you making it all quite seamless
Best Regards David W

Thanks for the feedback David and good to hear the course is getting better compared to 2018. The wine has been delivered now.
Best Regards

Hi David

The holiday was first class.  All the travel arrangements ran like clockwork and the hotel was lovely as always.

It was a bonus not to have to run boarding cards off!   I wasn’t happy about having to pay extra for the golf course view as we have always been on that side of the hotel.  Funnily enough the room we were originally allocated was on the second floor with so-called golf course view - we actually couldn’t see a thing because a huge palm tree was totally blocking the view!!    Anyway they moved us down to the first floor with a perfect view.

A perfect winter break.  Oh yes, the golf - better mention that!  Malcolm loved the flexibility of being able to play any time.  He usually got an extra 9 holes in late afternoon.

Many thanks.

Thanks for the feedback Linda - i inspected the resort on 29 -30 January and found everything to be in tip top condition, the weather has been very good this winter which has helped the course. The rooms and cuisine are first class and the value for money at Elba Palace is exceptional!

Hi David,

Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for your expertise and efficiency for what we all agreed was a fabulous week away.

From start to finish everything ran smoothly.

The hotel and service was impeccable. The golf course was very interesting and the greens were superb.

We had a wonderful time.

The case of wine arrived today - We shall be raising a glass or 2 to you!

Again many thanks,

Kind regards,

Thank you for the feedback Julia. This small boutique venue continues to punch above its weight and is a great set up, with lovely rooms and very polite and charming staff, the restaurant is getting better and better also.

Evening David,

We have had a thoroughly enjoyable week at the Elba Palace.

Flights, transfer & check in at hotel all ran very smoothly.

The golf !!  Staff in pro shop, staff on course could not do enough

for you. The course was reasonably quiet, to the fact most were playing in 2 balls. We actually played 9 holes one morning & then went out to play 9 in the afternoon 3.30

You could not fault the course or the staff. I gather that into November until March the course is much busier. There were many return guests which is always a good sign.

All the hotel staff were excellent at their job & very approachable.

Our only concern, was the food in the dinning room. Only the main course. For example one night I had pork fillet with a sauce which came so pink i had to return it, which was not a problem,

On 2 nights I had steak asking for it to be cooked medium, one night it came medium rare (which was fine), I gathered from other guests to ask for more cooked than you preferred, the second occasion it came well done.  (We did not complain) The dinning room staff were run off their feet & were doing their best, we had a nice gap in between starter & main being served, but the food in the dinning room is just as reviews read.

The bedroom & bathroom were of a high standard.

Many thanks for organising our first golf holiday abroad, of which I hope is the first of many to come.

Denise & Mike

Thank you for your feedback Denise - I will pass on your comments onto the Hotel for their reference. I am delighted that you had a great first holiday abroad.
