There are 313 rooms and suites, a very impressive Aloe Wellness Center, 36 holes of golf, golf academy, kid’s club, gymnasium, 7 outdoor pools on different levels, restaurants, pool bar and cocktail lounge with different food concepts and chill out areas.

The Wellness Centre has a very varied menu of treatments both for massage, beauty treatment and a wide array of exotic and classic massage. Why not enjoy special golfers massage packages, as a couple, or an individual, or enjoy massages from Hawaii, Thailand, Japan and the Canaries. The hydrotherapy pool offers a jet circuit in a heated outside pool, with amazing views down to the ocean and sunset. The use of which is 25 euros per 2-hour session. There are also hot stone massages. TheWellness Centre has excellent Finnish Sauna and Steam bath amenities to chill out and refresh your body.

We base our golf packages on the standard deluxe bedrooms, which can have good views, although golfers often get upgraded to golf view rooms, if you want that guarantee we highly recommend paying a little more – circa £19 per person per night for that location.  The junior suites are lovely and have also great golf and mountain views, whilst the mountain view suite is spectacular.

The rooms all come with a private terrace or balcony, plasma TV, king size beds with 100% cotton bedding and hypoallergenic feather pillows and a shower or bath. The standard deluxe rooms are 42 square metres – we would recommend upgrading to junior suite and you get 84 square metres and a separate living room area, plus a separate rain shower and oval bath tub. All rooms are contemporary and chic.

The Salobre Old course is the most sought after course on the estate, but the New course is even more dramatic and exhilarating, every shot is a potential lost ball, playing over canyons and barrancas (old lava channels). The shot making is stunning, so exciting to play. Occasionally you may face a shot, which looks impossible. If you enjoy driving, the tee shots are so exciting, as you are generally playing off elevated tees.

The Old Course is relatively easy compared to the New, although it is a longer design, still with plenty of drives from elevated tees, it is still very challenging and there are some cracking holes through canyons, or up and along ridges or plunging into valleys. The Old Course is easier to maintain and the conditions are generally better year-round. The views and vistas from the New course are probably the best in the Canaries. Make sure you hire a buggy playing the New course.

You could play a variety of golf courses instead of the unlimited package, taking in Anfi Tauro, Maspalomas and Los Meloneras, but you will need a car or private transfers to play them, as they are circa 25 minutes’ drive away.
