RESORT OVERVIEW
The Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity is in the mountains just above and to the west of the seaside resort of Maspalomas. It is an iconic hotel for golfers and those customers wishing to escape from it all, amidst wild and exhilarating nature, as the hotel offers panoramic vistas in all directions from its high location. The hotel itself is built into a rock face, giving it a unique feel, rather similar to somewhere like Scottsdale Arizona. The resort is 50 minute’s transfer time from Las Palmas airport and one can take advantage of a shuttle transfer service down to the seaside resort of Maspalomas.
The Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity is surrounded by two exciting golf courses, the old Salobre course, which is basically a canyon style course, albeit extremely playable and the dramatic mountain canyon course, Salobre New, which is exciting with every twist and turn, but incredibly hilly and challenging.
Other highlights of the hotel are the sun bathing terraced areas, the sumptuous wellness centre and hydrotherapy outdoor pool, the chill out areas and bar terracing, which have such superb views. This really is the ultimate chill out mountain golf venue, but with such easy access to the beach and Maspalomas, if you want a change of scenery, literally.
Golfers can enjoy the two resort courses, or combine them with 3 other local golf courses, all within 20-25 minute’s drive, notably Maspalomas, Anfi Tauro and Los Meloneras. Transfers can be pre-arranged, or just book a taxi in resort. Car hire can be organised at the airport, instead of private transfers, for about £60pp supplement. Stay in the hotter summer months from July and August 2024 and golf is often free every day. Ask for more details.
Director’s Tip – Use a buggy if you are playing the New Course at Salobre and consider playing once off resort at the spectacular Anfi Tauro course, arguably the best in the Canaries.
