Golf Holidays To Tenerife & La Gomera
Tenerife is a wonderful island, located west of Gran Canaria, it is big enough to be very contrasting in climate, topography and scenery, flat and very mountainous, with all regions being very different and unique.
The airport is on the exposed southern coast, which is very flat, but when you look inland from any part of the island, you always see big mountains, highlighted by the impressive Mount Teide.
The centre point for most tourism is the south west tip of Tenerife, which includes the resorts of Las Americas, Los Cristianos and La Caleta, where there is so much activity right on the coastline. The sea promenade in this area stretches out for about 10 km, all the way up to La Caleta. The climate here is at its best on the Island.
The west of the island, at the resort of Abama is a stunning place to stay with wonderful views up to Teide and across the Ocean to La Gomera Island. Travelling further north to Buenavista, well above the famous old port of Los Gigantes the climate is also great, albeit cooler than the south east, one can discover a hidden gem venue, at the Melia Hacienda del Conde.
The golf at Buenavista, Abama, Adeje and Golf del Sur is exceptional, albeit fairly well spread out. If you enjoy taking to the Ocean and seeing dolphins and whales, this can be arranged at Los Gigantes, or if you would like to explore the interior of the Island this can be arranged with our local partners.
We offer resort golf and hotels in seaside venues like the Vincci properties and the stunning Sheraton La Caleta and Jardin Tropical hotels.
The island of La Gomera which lies due west of Tenerife is accessed by a Fred Olsen ferry from Los Cristianos which takes 45 minutes. The island is 378 square kms and 20 kms only from north to south. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning mountains & canyons, fertile agricultural plains and terraced mountainsides, boasting a rain forest and a rugged and dramatic coastline. It is the ultimate secret escape chill out venue for golfers, sun worshippers and hikers who love fauna and wild flowers.
